Catherine Basten - How Internet Has Changed Airport Experiences?

Catherine Basten is a global traveler and also a reputable travel agent. Catherine Basten love to use of technology while travel and here she is sharing her experience, how internet has changed airport experiences:

First, checking in at the airport has become an unrecognizable experience since the dawn of the Internet. Now, instead of having to wait in line to speak to a representative, you can simply walk to any kiosk nearby and print your boarding passes electronically. This allows people the ability to get to their gates faster, and avoid the frustrating lines that can occur on major travel weekends or holidays.

Second, not only can you check in electronically, you can also check your own luggage. Airlines are already allowing passengers the luxury of checking their own bags, as long as they are at or below the weight limit, before they get to their gates. This will cut even more time off of travel time as lines are soon to be eliminated at every airport when it comes to securing ticket and gate information.

Third, most airports have assisted bag drops. This allows fliers to get their heavy bags taken off their hands before even entering the airport itself. These services will soon be available at every airport, and it will make things infinitely more convenient for passengers around the world.
